Job description
A vibrant school in Hammersmith with a strong Performing Arts department is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dance Teacher to join their creative team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Dance Teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially deliver BTEC Dance, developing their performance skills, creativity, and appreciation for various dance styles. If you are a passionate Dance educator with a love for movement and expression, we encourage your application. Join our supportive Performing Arts faculty and contribute to the thriving Dance provision at our school. Location: Hammersmith Role: Dance Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent) Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and challenging Dance lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially BTEC Dance). Inspire students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for a wide range of dance techniques and choreographic principles within Dance . Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Performing Arts to share best practice and enhance the Dance curriculum. Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Dance . Potentially lead extracurricular Dance clubs or contribute to school performances. We Offer: Competitive London-based salary. Degree in Dance or a related field. Proven experience teaching Dance at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply), with experience in BTEC Dance being advantageous. Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of various dance styles and choreography. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students in Dance . A passion for fostering creativity and performance skills through Dance .
