SENCO – Excellent Secondary School – Taunton – September Start Location: Taunton Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance An excellent and well-respected secondary school in Taunton is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to lead its SEND provision. Your Role as SENCO: Lead and oversee the school’s SEND provision, ensuring that students receive the necessary interventions and support. Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students. Oversee the implementation of EHCPs and develop individualised support plans. Provide training and support for staff to enhance SEN teaching strategies. Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that the school remains at the forefront of inclusive education. Who We’re Looking For: A qualified SENCO with the NASENCO qualification (or willingness to complete it). Experience working with students with a range of additional needs in a secondary school setting. Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective SEN strategies. A collaborative approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
