Job description
A well-regarded secondary school in Cambridge is seeking a passionate History ECT to join its Humanities department from January 2026 . ECT: History Teacher required from January 2026 Cambridge-based school with a welcoming ethos and structured early-career support. Perfect for an aspiring historian seeking to inspire curiosity and analytical thinking in KS3–KS4 learners. You will teach History across KS3 and KS4 , supported by a detailed induction plan and weekly mentor meetings. Experience and Qualifications QTS or completing teacher training in History or Humanities. Enthusiasm for inclusive, inquiry-based learning. Eagerness to participate in collaborative CPD and curriculum design. Excellent communication and organisational skills. School Information The Humanities department is dynamic and creative, with strong shared planning systems and an emphasis on curriculum depth. Nurturing mentor support with protected CPD time. Collaborative staff culture and approachable leadership. Located near central Cambridge with good transport links. Salary Paid to ECT/MPS Scale (with enhanced support package).
