Job description
A high-attaining and academically ambitious secondary school in Watford is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths ECT from September 2026 . This role is ideal for a trainee teacher seeking a structured, research-informed ECT programme with exceptional support, consistent mentoring, and excellent long-term development opportunities. Maths ECT required from September 2026 Located in the Watford area with a longstanding reputation for strong outcomes in Mathematics and STEM subjects. The school is seeking a motivated early career teacher capable of delivering clear, engaging instruction across KS3–KS4, with opportunities to gradually take on KS5 teaching as confidence and skill level develop. The department places strong emphasis on mathematical reasoning, conceptual fluency and high expectations. Experience and Qualifications QTS awarded by September 2026 with Mathematics specialism. Strong subject knowledge with the ability to break down complex concepts for mixed-ability classes. Demonstrated commitment to reflective practice, feedback and continuous improvement. Willingness to participate fully in the school’s enhanced ECT induction and mentoring cycle. Interest in supporting enrichment such as numeracy clubs, competitions or intervention programmes.
