Job description
Join our esteemed Humanities department at an Outstanding Secondary School in Hillingdon! We seek a passionate History Teacher to inspire students from Key Stage 3 to A-Level, starting September 2025. You'll deliver engaging lessons, foster critical thinking, and contribute to a thriving academic environment. About Our Learning Community: We are a high-achieving school dedicated to academic excellence. Our Humanities department values historical inquiry and intellectual growth, promoting a dynamic learning experience. About the Role: Teach History across KS3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating diverse historical perspectives. Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a variety of resources, including primary sources and digital tools. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Contribute to curriculum development, participate in departmental meetings, and lead extracurricular activities such as historical societies. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong History subject knowledge and a passion for the subject. Demonstrated experience teaching History to A-Level, with a track record of student success. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
