Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Geography Teacher to join one of Birmingham’s leading grammar schools. This is a full-time position beginning in January, teaching across KS3–KS5 (GCSE and A-Level Geography). Geography Teacher required on a full-time basis Ofsted Outstanding grammar school with exceptional academic results High-performing Humanities department with strong leadership and excellent resources Motivated, respectful pupils with exemplary behaviour This is an excellent chance to teach in a school where Geography is a consistently successful and well-regarded subject. In 2023, 88% of GCSE pupils achieved grades 7–9 in Geography, while 90% of A-Level students achieved A*–B. Fieldwork and enrichment are at the heart of the curriculum, with pupils taking part in residential trips in the UK and abroad. The department fosters academic curiosity and a love of global issues, sustainability and critical thinking. Requirements • Qualified Geography Teacher with QTS (PGCE, QTLS or equivalent considered) • Strong subject knowledge across GCSE and A-Level Geography • Enthusiastic, reflective and committed to delivering outstanding teaching • Passionate about inspiring pupils and supporting their academic ambitions • Legal right to work in the UK Salary & Benefits Paid to scale on MPS/UPS.
