Job description
History Teacher Leatherhead A superb opportunity for a dedicated History Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leatherhead. This is a full-time, permanent position within a supportive and successful History department. The Role: As a History Teacher at this school, you will be responsible for: Planning and delivering engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Stage 5 (A-Level) experience is desirable, but not essential. Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Creating a positive classroom. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback. Maintaining accurate student records. Collaborating with colleagues within the History department. Contributing to curriculum development. Communicating effectively with parents/guardians. Upholding the school's safeguarding policies. The History Teacher will play a vital role. The Ideal Candidate: The successful History Teacher will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4. A genuine passion for History and a commitment to student success. Excellent classroom management skills. A collaborative approach to teamwork. A dedication to continuous professional development.
