Job description
Are you a passionate and energetic PE Teacher seeking an exciting new opportunity in a dynamic and supportive school environment? A thriving secondary school in Derby is looking to appoint a dedicated PE Teacher to join their committed team. This is a full-time position teaching Physical Education from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5 , starting immediately on a temporary basis , with the potential for extension or a permanent contract based on performance. PE Teacher – The Role Position: PE Teacher Location: Derby Start Date: Immediate Contract: Full-time, Temporary Teaching: PE to KS3–KS5 Salary: MPS1 – UPS3 (Dependent on experience) As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across all key stages, encouraging active participation and promoting a healthy lifestyle. You’ll also have opportunities to get involved in the school’s rich extracurricular programme, including inter-school sports, fitness clubs, and competitive events. What We’re Looking For A degree in Physical Education or a related subject QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent Experience teaching PE at KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5 A commitment to fostering a positive, active learning environment Passion for sport and the ability to inspire students of all abilities Salary The salary for this PE Teacher role will be paid to scale on a full-time, temporary basis (MPS/UPS).
