Job description
A prestigious independent day school in Derbyshire is seeking an inspiring Teacher of English to join its high-achieving academic faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent position offers the chance to teach across Key Stages 3–5 within a department renowned for its intellectual curiosity, creativity and academic excellence. The school prides itself on blending tradition with innovation. English is central to that ethos — a subject that develops empathy, confidence and analytical skill in equal measure. Lessons go far beyond the syllabus: pupils explore literature through debate, theatre trips, poetry readings and cross-curricular collaborations.
