Job description
We are seeking a passionate Year 4 Teacher for an esteemed independent school in Peterborough, starting January 2026. This is a unique opportunity for a Year 4 Teacher who thrives in a creative and collaborative environment and is dedicated to inspiring young learners. The successful Year 4 Teacher will join a well-resourced department, delivering an engaging curriculum that challenges pupils academically while nurturing their social and emotional development. The appointed Year 4 Teacher will be expected to plan and teach lessons across the core subjects, provide targeted support for students’ individual needs, and contribute to the wider life of the school. Key Responsibilities: Teach the Year 4 curriculum to a high standard, differentiating to meet the needs of all pupils Maintain excellent classroom management and promote positive behaviour Track pupil progress, provide feedback, and communicate effectively with parents Contribute to school-wide initiatives, including enrichment and extra-curricular activities Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency in learning Requirements: QTS-qualified Year 4 Teacher with relevant experience Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills Commitment to working in an independent school environment Passionate about providing high-quality education and supporting pupil wellbeing School Information: Independent school in Peterborough with a reputation for academic excellence Supportive and collaborative teaching environment Focus on both academic and personal development of pupils This full-time Year 4 Teacher role starts January 2026, offering the chance to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team.
