Job description
A well-regarded secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a creative and motivated Design Technology Teacher to join their department. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in a supportive school environment where practical learning, innovation, and technical skills are highly valued. The Role You will teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and specialism. The role focuses on delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that combine practical workshop activity with strong design theory. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality Design Technology lessons Teaching practical and theory-based content across DT disciplines Supporting students in developing design, manufacturing, and problem-solving skills Assessing and tracking student progress to ensure strong outcomes Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop environment in line with health and safety requirements Contributing to curriculum development and departmental collaboration The School Environment This Bournemouth secondary school offers a calm and structured learning environment with clear expectations and positive student behaviour.
