Job description
A creative and well-respected secondary school in Cambridge is seeking an Art Technician to join their Visual Arts department immediately . This role would suit someone who is organised, patient, and comfortable working in a lively, expressive studio environment. Role Responsibilities You will: Prepare materials for lessons (paper, inks, canvases, clay, printmaking plates, textiles) Help set up and clear down studio spaces Support students during practical work, encouraging safe, thoughtful technique Manage stock levels and coordinate supply orders Contribute to exhibition curation , corridor displays and GCSE portfolio presentation This is a role for someone who enjoys creative spaces and understands that good studio environments require care and structure. School Environment The Art department values: Experimental and student-led creative processes Encouragement over correction Visual storytelling and reflective making You will be seen as a core part of the teaching team , not background support.
