Location: Chelmsford, Essex Start Date: January 2026 Salary: Paid to scale on MPS (ECT rates) Looking for a supportive secondary school with a thriving English department in Chelmsford? A well-regarded mixed secondary school with an excellent local reputation has a fantastic opportunity for a passionate English ECT to join its English department from January 2026. Job Overview This forward-thinking secondary school is seeking a committed English Early Career Teacher to teach KS3 and KS4 English as part of a highly supportive and collaborative department. The school is recognised for: Strong academic outcomes in English A nurturing and structured induction programme Excellent behaviour systems and pastoral care The successful candidate will benefit from guided lesson planning, shared marking strategies, structured lesson observations, and a reduced timetable, allowing for confident development in their first teaching post.
