Job description
Proximie is on a mission to improve healthcare by transforming the world’s operating rooms into connected ecosystems of people, devices, and data. Our Intelligence Suite transforms operating room (OR) performance, keeping teams in sync and workflows on track to maximise throughput. Simultaneously our computer vision and AI capabilities capture real-time data and detect surgical events – improving quality of data outputs. The result: ORs are optimised like never before – with predictive analytics and automated notifications ensuring patients and staff are in the right place at the right time. Once practitioners are in the OR, our Surgical Suite enables real-time remote access and creates a secure video record of every procedure; improving training, education, and collaboration. It is an intuitive asset which helps instil a culture of continuous learning, accelerates the adoption of cutting-edge medical devices, and enhances surgical performance across the entire global workforce – improving outcomes and saving lives. Proximie was commercialised in 2019 and is available in over 800 facilities globally. Check out our Founder and CEO Nadine’s Origins Story here: https://www.proximie.com/about-us/ Position Overview As Proximie accelerates the global deployment of its Intelligence Suite, each implementation represents a critical opportunity to validate outcomes, gather insights, and strengthen both product development and commercial readiness. To support this phase of growth, Proximie is seeking an Implementation Engineer to join the European team, based in London, on an initial 3-month contract with potential for extension. This role is hands-on, client-facing, and pivotal to delivering a best-in-class implementation experience across Europe, with an immediate focus on the UK. The Implementation Engineer will deliver high-touch implementation services spanning installation, configuration, clinical support, and ongoing engagement - operating with autonomy while collaborating closely with internal Product and Engineering teams. Job Responsibilities Deliver, install, connect, configure, and test Proximie equipment, including Intelligence Suite hardware and computer vision sensors. Support live clinical use of the Proximie platform in operating rooms, laboratories, and training environments. Train end users on system functionality and integrated workflows. Ensure optimal utilisation of system capabilities, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Participate in planning, testing, and cross-functional coordination meetings. Maintain clear, consistent communication in line with Proximie implementation processes. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to support New Product Introductions (NPI), including the development and delivery of launch training. Identify, manage, and escalate IT, hardware, or software issues promptly and appropriately. Requirements Technical degree, relevant certifications, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting SaaS, AV, hardware, or similar technical platforms. Minimum 3 years’ experience working with medical devices or within operating room environments. Experience with CAD to support mapping / site surveys. Strong capability in technical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while delivering consistently high standards. Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clinical and technical stakeholders. Self-directed, resilient, and comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Desirable Video and audio hardware experience. Experience working in startup or high-growth technology environments. Travel Willingness to travel up to 75% across the UK to customer sites, including hospitals, operating rooms, laboratories, and surgical centres. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours where required, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, to meet customer needs. License / Certification Full, clean driving license. Why Work for Proximie? You will be encouraged to grow in your role, take ownership and gain responsibilities. Proximie’s values are Ownership, Deliver Results, Build Trust and Go Beyond.
