Job description
Religious Studies ECT – Mixed Secondary School in Surrey (January Start) Location: Surrey Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale (M1) A respected mixed school in Surrey is welcoming applications for a Religious Studies ECT to join their Humanities Faculty in January. About the School The school has a supportive leadership team, excellent behaviour, and a nurturing environment for early career teachers. ECTs benefit from a personalised two-year induction programme. About the RS Department The RS team is collaborative, friendly, and highly committed to academic rigour and open discussion. The curriculum emphasises ethics, world religions, and philosophical inquiry. The Role Teaching RS across KS3–KS4. Contributing to enrichment activities, debates, and humanities events. Supporting curriculum development with fresh ideas. Requirements QTS with a specialism in RS, Philosophy, or related field. Passionate about engaging students in thoughtful and respectful discussion.
