About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating current biological research and advanced concepts. Plan and deliver lessons that foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and scientific inquiry, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including advanced laboratory experiments and data analysis. Assess student progress through practical investigations, research projects, and written examinations, providing detailed feedback to support their development and ensure smooth integration mid-year. Contribute to the development of the Biology curriculum, integrating current scientific research and advanced concepts, and participate in departmental planning and collaboration. Organize and lead laboratory investigations, research projects, and science-related activities, promoting student engagement and scientific inquiry, with a focus on seamless transition for mid-year joiners. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Biology subject knowledge, including advanced biological concepts and laboratory techniques. Demonstrated experience teaching Biology to A-Level, with a focus on both theoretical concepts and practical applications. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students, including those joining mid-year.
