ECT: History Teacher – Begin Your Teaching Journey with Expert Pastoral Support and a Focus on Developing Disciplinary Historical Skills – Ealing A well-established and highly supportive secondary school in Ealing is seeking a promising ECT of History (Year 1 or 2) to join their Humanities faculty from January 2026. ECT: History Teacher required from January 2026 Ealing-based school with an inclusive community ethos and supportive ECT framework. Ideal for a graduate passionate about modern British and European history. You will teach History across KS3 and GCSE. The ECT programme is tailored to help you master pedagogical techniques specific to history, such as source analysis and essay structuring, while managing your reduced timetable effectively. Experience and Qualifications QTS or completing final training in History. A strong academic background and a passion for engaging students with the past. Willingness to contribute to a collaborative team planning approach. A commitment to ongoing professional reflection and development. School Information The Humanities faculty is a strong, experienced team that values shared resources and reducing individual planning burdens. The school is known for its excellent pupil behaviour and strong senior leadership support. Dedicated mentor from within the Humanities department. Focus on developing robust assessment and feedback strategies . Outer London pay scale.
