Job description
Are you a reflective and creative Year 4 Teacher looking to join a busy KS2 team in Dagenham from January 2026? A thriving primary school in Dagenham is recruiting a Year 4 Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons that develop pupils’ reasoning, stamina and subject knowledge. The Year 4 Teacher will plan coherent, knowledge-rich sequences across English, mathematics and foundation subjects, deliver focused interventions and contribute to phase moderation. This Year 4 Teacher position starts January 2026, and a thorough induction will be provided ahead of January 2026 so the Year 4 Teacher can begin the spring term with confidence. Role responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Year 4 lessons that build cumulative knowledge and skills. Use assessment to set precise targets and to adapt teaching to meet a range of needs. Lead small-group teaching, monitor its impact and refine approaches to accelerate progress. Work collaboratively with colleagues to moderate standards and contribute to curriculum development across Dagenham. Communicate effectively with families and support wider school events and enrichment. Person specification Qualified teacher with solid KS2 experience and strong Year 4 classroom practice. Confident planner, data-aware and skilled in behaviour management and differentiation. Collaborative, proactive and committed to working within the Dagenham school community.
