Job description
A successful and well-organised secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join its staff team from January 2026. This Good school has an excellent reputation for behaviour, leadership and staff development. The role is ideal for someone considering a future in teaching or looking to gain classroom experience in a professional and supportive environment. The Role You’ll supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring lessons run smoothly and students remain focused on learning. Full training and support are provided, and you’ll work closely with teaching staff and heads of department. Key Duties Deliver pre-prepared lessons in line with school policies. Manage student behaviour effectively. Support learning through clear communication and structure. Provide feedback to teaching staff after cover lessons. About You Confident communicator with a calm, positive approach. Enjoys working with young people and supporting education. Reliable, adaptable and organised.
