Job description
School Status & Location Sector: Elite Independent Secondary School (11-18). Borough: Barnet (England). Start Date: Permanent, full-time role commencing ASAP. The Opportunity & School Profile Join one of Barnet's top-performing Social Science departments. This role offers an exceptional ECT support programme focused on technical communication, ensuring you can translate sophisticated psychological research into high-impact A-Level lessons. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Scientific Inquiry: Instructing Psychology across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level) only. A-Level Mastery: Delivering the full A-Level specification, including biopsychology, psychopathology, and advanced research methods. Professional Growth: Engaging in peer observations and contributing to the school's "Psychology Society" for gifted learners. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Hold QTS. Relevant Degree in Psychology. Salary: Highly competitive salary paid on the school's independent pay scale. Support: Dedicated induction lead and a 10% reduction in teaching load for the first year.
