Job description
Our client is seeking a Business Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Bournemouth , starting January . Business Teacher – full-time Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Bournemouth Excellent opportunity to join a successful, well-resourced Business & Economics department You will teach KS4–KS5 , delivering engaging, industry-informed lessons that develop enterprise skills, financial awareness, and confident exam technique. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, ambitious curriculum, and consistently positive behaviour. Experience and Qualifications Specialist Business teacher with strong subject knowledge (Economics/Finance desirable) An enthusiastic, inspiring classroom practitioner with evidence of impact Experience of teaching GCSE and A-Level/Level 3 QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) Legal right to work in the UK School Information Roll: Approximately 1,600 students (11–18) , including a Sixth Form of ~400 Culture: High expectations, strong pastoral systems, and a broad curriculum preparing students for university, apprenticeships, and professional pathways Facilities: Modern classrooms with excellent ICT provision, dedicated Sixth Form study areas, and access to careers/enterprise partnerships Business & Economics Department – Snapshot Uptake: Large cohorts at GCSE Business and strong post-16 numbers (A-Level Business; vocational Business) with multiple teaching groups Outcomes: GCSE grades 9–5 above national ; A-Level A –B strong year-on-year * with positive value-added Destinations: Many students progress to Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Economics at Russell Group and other selective universities, plus degree apprenticeships Salary Paid to scale on MPS/UPS (banding in line with the school’s pay policy).
