Job description
Are you a nurturing and creative Year 1 teacher who loves helping children make a confident start to Key Stage 1? Do you enjoy building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and personal development? If so, we’d love to welcome you. We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving school in Surrey from January 2026. This permanent role is open to full-time and part-time applicants, with potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate. About the School Our Ofsted-rated Good with Outstanding features school is situated in a suburban Surrey community and is celebrated for its inclusive ethos, creative teaching approaches, and strong focus on pupil wellbeing. Staff enjoy collaborative planning and a supportive professional environment. Position: Year 1 Teacher Location: Surrey Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time considered TLR: Available for subject or phase leadership (for the right candidate) As our Year 1 Teacher, you will: Lead a Year 1 class through an engaging and inspiring curriculum Support pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and social development Monitor and assess progress to ensure every child achieves their potential Foster an inclusive and stimulating classroom culture (If applicable) Lead a subject or phase area What We’re Looking For QTS and experience in Key Stage 1 Strong understanding of Year 1 curriculum and assessment Creative, reflective, and organised teaching approach Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to inclusion and pupil wellbeing What We Offer Friendly, collaborative staff and motivated pupils CPD and professional development opportunities Flexible working arrangements TLR opportunities for the right candidate A Surrey location with excellent transport links How to Apply If you are a passionate Year 1 Teacher ready to make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.
