Job description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate SENCO to join our highly inclusive and supportive Primary School in Tower Hamlets. This is a permanent role starting January 2026, offering the chance to lead and shape the school’s SEND provision. Key Information Position: SENCO Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time, Term Time Only Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) Suitable for: Experienced or Early Career Teachers (ECTs welcome) About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SENCO, committed to supporting pupils with additional needs. As a SENCO, you will lead the SEND provision across the school, ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will take on the responsibilities of a SENCO, working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to deliver tailored support. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate SEND provision as a SENCO Support teachers in delivering inclusive lessons for all pupils Foster a positive and inclusive environment as a SENCO Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals Contribute to the school’s ethos of high expectations and achievement What We’re Looking For We welcome applications from teachers who: Hold NASENCO OR NPQ SENCO or experience in SEND leadership Are enthusiastic, creative, and able to make learning meaningful as a SENCO Can inspire and motivate pupils, nurturing their strengths and abilities Are reflective practitioners who thrive in a collaborative team environment What the School Offers A welcoming and supportive school community Enthusiastic pupils who enjoy learning Opportunities for professional development, including support for SENCOs A strong ethos of inclusion and achievement How to Apply If you are a dedicated and inspiring SENCO ready to take on this permanent role in Tower Hamlets, starting January 2026, we would love to hear from you.
