Computer Science Teacher (North Buckinghamshire) Position: Computer Science Teacher Location: North Buckinghamshire Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Computer Science Teacher Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Computer Science Teacher to join a close-knit, supportive team at a fantastic mixed secondary school located in North Buckinghamshire. This modern school, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, opened in 2017 and offers excellent facilities for both staff and students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, covering key topics such as programming, algorithms, and computational thinking. As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that develop students’ problem-solving abilities and creativity, preparing them for future academic and career opportunities. You will work in a school community with just 600 students, ensuring a personalised and tailored educational experience for all learners. Computer Science Teacher Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, including programming, coding, and computational problem-solving. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, ensuring an inclusive and positive learning environment. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and offering support for continued improvement. Encourage creativity and critical thinking through engaging activities, coding challenges, and hands-on projects. Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum, keeping up to date with technological advancements. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a productive learning environment. Participate in extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, competitions, and workshops. What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A strong passion for Computer Science, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities. In-depth knowledge of computer science concepts, including programming languages, algorithms, and system design. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
