As they continue to expand their data and assessment provision, the school is now seeking a proactive, analytical, and detail-focused Data Officer. Role Overview The Data Officer plays an essential role in ensuring the school maintains accurate student records, produces high-quality data reports, and supports leadership with strategic analytics that inform school improvement. Key responsibilities include: Managing student information systems (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom) and ensuring data accuracy Producing attainment, progress, attendance, and behaviour reports for SLT and Governors Supporting teachers and middle leaders with data-entry processes and performance tracking Coordinating census submissions, exam results imports, baseline data, and statutory returns Creating dashboards, performance summaries, and comparative analysis tables Maintaining timetabling data, student groups, and assessment marksheets Ensuring compliance with GDPR and secure data handling protocols Working collaboratively with Exams, Attendance, and Pastoral teams Supporting whole-school assessment cycles, reporting windows, and parent data releases Analysing trends to support intervention planning and raising achievement This role requires strong technical ability, exceptional accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work under time pressure during peak data periods. Data & Assessment Team Information You will join a high-performing data and assessment team consisting of experienced professionals who work closely with SLT, Heads of Department, and pastoral teams. The school uses modern MIS systems, secure cloud platforms, and advanced data visualisation tools. The environment is structured, analytical, and supportive, offering ongoing CPD in data analysis, MIS administration, and statistical reporting. Candidate Requirements Strong experience in school data management or MIS administration Excellent ICT skills, including spreadsheets and data visualisation tools High accuracy, analytical thinking, and ability to interpret complex information Strong understanding of assessment and progress terminology Ability to work to strict deadlines and handle sensitive information Strong communication and ability to support colleagues of varying data literacy Commitment to safeguarding and data protection Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible.
