Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 2 Teacher for a wonderful 2-form entry school in Waltham Forest, starting in April 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible. Year 2 Teacher – Exciting Opportunity in Waltham Forest! Location: Waltham Forest Start Date: April 2025 Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time The School This vibrant and supportive primary school in Waltham Forest is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team. The school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment, where children’s individual needs are supported and their love of learning is fostered. With a collaborative leadership team and a dedicated staff, the school encourages professional development, creativity, and innovation in teaching. The school provides excellent resources and CPD opportunities, and there is a strong sense of community, where teachers and students thrive together. Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to enjoy learning. Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback and setting clear targets for development. Foster the development of critical thinking skills, independence, and creativity. Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver a cohesive and effective curriculum. Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and well-being. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities as required. Year 2 Teacher Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (preferably Year 2). Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Passion for creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A flexible, team-oriented approach to teaching.
