The Religious Studies Department promotes deep intellectual exploration of philosophy, ethics, and world religions, fostering a broad, inclusive perspective among students. Interdisciplinary Learning: Opportunities to collaborate with the History and Philosophy departments. Your Role as a Religious Studies ECT Plan and deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. Teach topics covering philosophy, ethics, and world religions, encouraging independent thinking. Work closely with an experienced mentor, refining your teaching skills through regular training. Inspire students to engage in ethical discussions and question societal issues. Lead extracurricular activities, including debate clubs, ethics workshops, and guest speaker events. What We Are Looking For A Religious Studies graduate with QTS (or working towards it). A passion for philosophy, theology, and ethics. A teacher who encourages critical thinking and open-minded discussion. A collaborative and innovative educator eager to contribute to a dynamic department.
