Job description
An ambitious 11–18 secondary school in Nuneaton is seeking an inspiring Teacher of History to join its strong Humanities faculty from January 2026. The school has a strong local reputation, a Good Ofsted rating and a track record of steady improvement driven by supportive leadership and consistent expectations. The Role The successful candidate will teach History across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to A-Level provision as demand grows. The department follows a structured, sequenced curriculum that emphasises historical enquiry, interpretation and strong written communication. Lessons make use of retrieval practice, debate, source analysis and extended writing routines. Students show genuine interest in the subject, and GCSE outcomes have steadily risen over recent years.
