Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced SENCO to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kensington from April 2025 . This role can be full-time or part-time , offering flexibility for the right candidate. The school is seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Overseeing the SEND provision across the school, ensuring high-quality support for all pupils with additional needs Managing and coordinating EHCPs , interventions, and support plans in collaboration with staff, parents, and external agencies Providing advice, training, and guidance to teachers and support staff to ensure best SEND practices are implemented Monitoring pupil progress and working closely with the leadership team to develop inclusive teaching strategies Ensuring the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and policies Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and NASENCO qualification (essential) Experience working as a SENCO in a primary school Strong knowledge of SEND policies, EHCP processes, and inclusive education strategies Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff A passion for ensuring all pupils reach their full potential What the School Offers Competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale Supportive and forward-thinking senior leadership team A well-resourced school with a strong focus on SEND and inclusion Professional development and training opportunities Prime Kensington location with excellent transport links This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SENCO looking for a new challenge in a school that truly values inclusion and student support.
