Job descriptionA high-achieving and inclusive 11–18 school in Shropshire is looking for a talented Teacher of French to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from January 2026. Languages are at the heart of this school’s curriculum. The department has a track record of success at GCSE and A-Level, and a culture that celebrates language learning through immersion and cultural experience. The MFL block includes a digital language lab, interactive classrooms and modern breakout spaces used for conversation practice and film screenings. The school runs annual trips to France and Spain, as well as a popular “Languages Week” with visiting speakers, international cuisine and student-led taster sessions for local primaries. As part of a collaborative and experienced team, you’ll be supported to deliver engaging lessons that build confidence and cultural awareness. There’s a real emphasis on speaking and listening, and the department has introduced online exchange projects with schools abroad to help students practise authentic communication.
