Job description
A high-achieving and forward-thinking 11–18 secondary school in Coventry is seeking a Subject Lead of Food Technology to join their Creative Technologies Faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent leadership position offers the opportunity to shape an engaging, future-focused curriculum in a school recognised for excellence and inclusivity. About the Role The successful candidate will lead the Food Preparation and Nutrition curriculum from KS3–KS5, inspiring students through creative and practical teaching. You will oversee curriculum design, departmental development, and assessment strategies, ensuring consistency and high-quality learning outcomes. You will also promote sustainability, health, and innovation through food clubs, charity events, and local business partnerships , and play a key role in mentoring new teachers and supporting whole-school wellbeing initiatives. About the School This high-performing Coventry school prides itself on combining academic excellence with strong pastoral care and modern facilities. The Food Technology Department features state-of-the-art teaching kitchens, digital screens, and industry-standard equipment.
