Job description
Design & Technology Teacher - Croydon Secondary School - Inspire Creativity! About the School is a forward-thinking secondary school in Croydon, committed to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment where every student is empowered to excel. We value creativity, innovation, and practical skills, and our Design & Technology department plays a vital role in fostering these qualities in our students. About the Design & Technology Teacher Role We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and hands-on projects. Responsibilities of the Design & Technology Teacher: Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities. Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their practical skills in Design & Technology . Assess and monitor student progress in Design & Technology , providing constructive feedback and support. Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum and departmental resources. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Design & Technology and incorporate new technologies into the classroom. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Design & Technology teaching. Actively close gaps in attainment and achievement between pupils and all groups of pupils. Monitor and promote the involvement of all groups of pupils in the extra-curricular life of the school. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Design & Technology or a related field. Experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level. A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology . Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
