School Administrator – Outstanding Secondary School – Bristol Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Information This 11–18 Outstanding secondary school in Bristol is widely recognised for its academic excellence, strong pastoral systems, and clear strategic leadership. The school operates from a modern campus with well-equipped classrooms, dedicated administrative offices, and strong digital infrastructure. Leadership prioritises operational efficiency and professional conduct, ensuring administrative systems are robust and well managed. Due to continued growth, the school is seeking an experienced and highly organised School Administrator. Role Overview The School Administrator will play a central role in ensuring the smooth daily running of the school office. This position requires exceptional organisational skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Key responsibilities include: Managing front-of-house reception duties Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally Maintaining accurate student records and databases Supporting attendance tracking and communication with parents Coordinating school communications and newsletters Assisting with admissions administration Managing filing systems and document compliance Supporting SLT with administrative tasks Organising meetings and preparing documentation Maintaining confidentiality at all times This role requires a calm and professional approach, strong IT skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Administrative Team Information The Administrator will work within a structured office team including the Office Manager, Attendance Officer, and Data Manager. Clear systems are in place, and training will be provided on school MIS systems. The leadership team values efficient administration and provides ongoing support. Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a school or office environment Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and MIS systems) Excellent communication skills High level of organisation and attention to detail Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Professional and welcoming manner Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible.
