Job description
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Music to join an ambitious and rapidly improving academy school in Swindon. This full-time, permanent position begins in January 2026. About the School This academy is recognised for its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership and commitment to delivering a rich and balanced curriculum. Behaviour is strong and the school prides itself on creating opportunities for every student to excel academically, socially and creatively. About the Music Department The department benefits from specialist classrooms, digital composition tools, rehearsal spaces and strong support for creative subjects. Music plays a central role in school culture, with choirs, ensembles and musical productions taking place throughout the year. Role Responsibilities • Teaching Music across KS3–KS4 • Leading or assisting with school ensembles and performing arts events • Planning engaging lessons that develop performance, composition and listening skills • Supporting extracurricular activities and whole-school productions • Contributing to curriculum innovation Experience and Qualifications • Degree in Music or related field • PGCE with QTS • Strong performance background and passion for musical education Salary MPS/UPS Application Please send your CV to apply for this Music Teacher role in Swindon.
