The Opportunity You will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 , working within a well-planned curriculum that balances physical and human geography with geographical skills and enquiry-based learning. At KS3, students build strong foundational knowledge through topics linked to real-world contexts, including coastal environments, weather systems and global development — particularly relevant given the school’s local setting. Lessons emphasise map skills, data interpretation and clear geographical language. At GCSE, the department follows a structured approach to exam preparation, focusing on secure subject knowledge, case study application and extended written responses. As an ECT, you’ll be supported in developing exam confidence and effective assessment strategies.
