Job description
History Teacher – Lead A-Level Study of Modern Conflicts and Drive Historical Debating Skills – Redbridge A highly supportive and academically minded secondary school in Redbridge is seeking an experienced and analytically strong History Teacher with a specialization in Modern Conflict from January 2026. History Teacher required from January 2026. Redbridge-based school with an outstanding Sixth Form and focus on Humanities progression. Seeking a specialist to lead the development of extended research and essay skills at A-Level, focusing on 20th and 21st-century conflicts. You will teach History across KS3-KS5, ensuring the curriculum is challenging and skills-focused. The role includes developing departmental expertise in scaffolding complex historical arguments and leading the successful school debating team. Experience and Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a degree in History (specializing in modern or conflict history). Proven ability to secure high grades at A-Level History. Experience in curriculum design focusing on analytical and research skills. Commitment to running the school's debating club .
