Job description
Do you want to work in an inspiring school with an exceptional Science department? An Outstanding secondary school in North Yorkshire is seeking a Science Teacher to join their faculty from January 2026 . This is a full-time, permanent position teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 , with the opportunity to teach A-Level for the right candidate. • Science Teacher • Full time • January 2026 start • Teaching across KS3/4 (KS5 available) • Outstanding Science department with modern labs School Information The school has been praised by Ofsted for its commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as its strong community ethos. With around 1,100 pupils on roll, it offers a warm, inclusive environment where both staff and students thrive. The Science department is housed in purpose-built laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and digital learning tools. The team has a collaborative approach, encouraging experimentation, innovation, and curiosity in every lesson. Students consistently achieve above the national average in GCSE Science and many progress to A-Level and STEM-related degrees. Experience and Qualifications • A degree in a Science-related subject • PGCE/QTS or equivalent • Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 an advantage) • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills Salary Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) depending on experience.
