Job Description: Are you an energetic PE Teacher committed to promoting physical activity, teamwork, and wellbeing? A welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a full-time PE Teacher to join their Physical Education department from January 2026. Location: Northumberland Start Date: January 2026 Salary: Paid on the MPS or UPS scale, dependent on experience About the School: The school has a proud sporting tradition and excellent facilities, including indoor sports halls, playing fields, and fitness equipment. It promotes a healthy and active lifestyle through lessons, clubs, and inter-school competitions. Why This Role is Ideal for You: • Teach PE across KS3 and KS4 in a supportive, team-focused department • Lead extracurricular clubs, sports teams, and school competitions • Inspire students to stay active, develop confidence, and enjoy sport Your Role: • Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging PE lessons across a variety of sports • Organise fixtures, tournaments, and enrichment activities • Promote health, wellbeing, and positive behaviour through sport • Contribute to whole-school life through team building and leadership The Ideal Candidate Will: • Hold QTS and have experience teaching PE at secondary level • Be passionate about physical fitness, teamwork, and inclusion • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills • Have the legal right to work in the UK How to Apply: If you’re ready to promote the benefits of physical education in a supportive school community, please send your CV to be considered for this exciting PE Teacher role in Northumberland.
