Job description
An Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary Academy in Harrow, seeks a permanent full-time History Teacher ECT starting January 2026. This opportunity is designed for an ambitious Early Career Teacher who seeks a structured and supportive induction environment focused on rapid professional development and fostering intellectual depth. Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring academic challenge and conceptual understanding. Commit fully to embracing the school's research-led pedagogy and evidence-based teaching practices. Engage actively with the intensive, evidence-based instructional coaching and mentoring programme. Maintain a focus on tracking pupil progress, ensuring exceptional outcomes for every student as a dedicated History Teacher ECT. Work collaboratively within the Humanities faculty to uphold the school’s high aspirations and values. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS by January 2026. Strong subject knowledge in History and a proactive approach to continuous professional development (CPD). Seeking a resilient and highly motivated History Teacher ECT who embraces feedback and reflective practice. The ability to create a highly productive learning environment where high standards of behaviour are expected. The school seeks a History Teacher ECT ready to accelerate their teaching practice in a high-performing environment.
