Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health and Social Care Teacher to join a thriving and well-regarded school in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to contribute to a vibrant school community and inspire students in the field of Health and Social Care. The role offers the potential for a TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility), providing a leadership pathway within the department. Position: Health and Social Care Teacher (Potential for TLR) Teaching Subjects: Health and Social Care to GCSE and A-Level Location: Walsall Start Date: Easter 2025 Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (MPS/UPS + potential TLR) School Information: The successful candidate will join a school that is highly committed to academic excellence and student well-being. The Health and Social Care department plays an integral role in preparing students for careers in healthcare, social work, and other related fields. Key Responsibilities: Teach Health and Social Care to GCSE and A-Level students, ensuring engaging and challenging lessons. Support students' academic progress through feedback, assessments, and guidance. Contribute to curriculum development, bringing innovative ideas to the department. Lead and manage initiatives within the Health and Social Care department (potential for TLR). Foster a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential. Ideal Candidate: Degree in Health and Social Care, or a related subject. QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (PGCE). Experience teaching Health and Social Care at GCSE and A-Level is preferred. A passion for educating and inspiring students in the field of Health and Social Care. Leadership potential and willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the department. Why Join Us?
