Job description
A friendly and well-organised secondary school in Slough is seeking a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join their kitchen team. This is a great opportunity to work within a school environment, supporting the delivery of nutritious meals to students and staff during the school day. The Role You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the school kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and served efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Key responsibilities include: Assisting with food preparation and service during breakfast and lunch periods Ensuring dining and kitchen areas are clean, safe, and well organised Following food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures Supporting stock rotation, deliveries, and basic kitchen tasks Working as part of a team to provide a positive dining experience for students The School Environment This Slough secondary school offers a structured and supportive working environment with clear routines and expectations. The catering team plays an important role in the daily life of the school, contributing to student wellbeing and a positive lunchtime experience.
