Job description
A highly regarded independent day school in the Warwick area is seeking an engaging and academically minded Teacher of History to join its successful Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity to teach motivated pupils in a setting that values intellectual curiosity, scholarly teaching and a broad, enriching education. The Role You will teach History across KS3–KS5, delivering a curriculum that balances depth of knowledge with analytical skill. The department places strong emphasis on historical interpretation, source evaluation and extended writing, encouraging pupils to think critically and argue with confidence. Class sizes are small, allowing for detailed discussion, personalised feedback and a seminar-style approach at senior levels. History is a popular subject at GCSE and A-Level, with strong outcomes and a high proportion of pupils progressing to humanities-related degrees at leading universities. Beyond the classroom, there are opportunities to contribute to academic societies, lectures, reading groups and educational visits, both in the UK and abroad.
