Job description
We are working with a high-performing independent academy in Islington seeking a dedicated and visionary Mathematics Teacher. This school is a regional hub for STEM excellence, offering state-of-the-art facilities and a curriculum designed to challenge the most gifted young mathematicians in London. The leadership team understands the importance of work-life balance for high-performing professionals and ensures your timetable is optimized for both teaching and high-quality, collaborative planning. The Role & Responsibilities Working within a specialist faculty, you will handle the vital instructional work that drives our students' exceptional progress and fosters a genuine love for numerical logic. Subject Mastery: Delivering Mathematics across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, with the opportunity to teach Further Mathematics and STEP/AEA preparation for elite university candidates. Mathematical Enquiry: Encouraging and coaching student participation in national Mathematics Challenges, Olympiads, and collaborative engineering projects. Data-Driven Progress: Utilising advanced digital assessment tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction to the individual learning trajectories of students. Professional Development: Participating in the school's internal "Teaching Lab" where staff share innovative methods for teaching abstract mathematical concepts. Requirements Degree: A strong degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or a Physics-related field. QTS: Required for this permanent role. Right to Work: Candidates must possess the legal right to work in the UK. Salary & Contract Details Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 equivalent) Contract: Full-time | Permanent | ASAP Start
