Job description
A welcoming and well-organised secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a friendly and professional School Receptionist to join its administrative team. This is a full-time, permanent role available immediately, ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, a professional approach, and a commitment to supporting the smooth running of a busy school environment. Role Responsibilities As School Receptionist, your main responsibilities will include: Welcoming visitors, parents, and students in a friendly and professional manner. Managing telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries promptly and efficiently. Maintaining accurate records, including signing in visitors and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed. Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and scheduling appointments. Assisting with the preparation and organisation of school events and meetings. Liaising with staff, students, and parents to provide information and guidance. Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, safe, and welcoming at all times. Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a reception or administrative role, ideally in an educational setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Professional, approachable, and friendly manner. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within safeguarding policies.
