About the Role The appointed teacher will teach Design & Technology across KS3–KS5, delivering a broad and stimulating curriculum tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver inspiring DT lessons that encourage creativity, curiosity, and practical skill development. Teach across a range of specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, or Graphics , depending on expertise. Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of learners with varied educational and personal profiles. Integrate digital technologies and sustainable design principles into the curriculum. Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment and promote responsible use of tools and materials. Contribute to extracurricular clubs, exhibitions, and enrichment activities that showcase students’ creativity. Work collaboratively with therapists, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure all students thrive. Participate in ongoing professional development to further enhance subject knowledge and specialist teaching practice.
