Job description

What do we want? We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our vibrant team at Scarlet Kitchen , part of our award-winning hotel on the Cornish clifftops. You’ll be helping to craft beautiful, sustainable dishes that celebrate the best of local produce. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s ready to take the next step in their culinary career within a supportive, people-focused environment. Responsibilities and Duties: Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with Scarlet’s food philosophy Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety Contribute to menu development with creative input Ensure consistency and excellence in every plate Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen Food Safety Level 2 (essential) NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cookery (desired) Passion for sustainability and local sourcing Key Skills: Strong communication and teamwork Attention to detail and consistency Ability to work under pressure Creativity and a willingness to learn Time management and organisational skills What we offer: £13.80 hourly rate plus a share of hotel tips A people-centric working environment Learning and internal career progression opportunities Permanent contract with 28 days holiday (29 after 1 year) Long service scheme – enjoy a free stay at Bedruthan after your first year! 40% off food and drinks and other hotel services Local partnership discounts Health Shield Healthcare Plan Temporary team accommodation available Perched on the rugged clifftops of North Cornwall , Scarlet and Bedruthan Hotels are trailblazers in sustainable hospitality.
