Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging Food Technology lessons for Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) in line with the National Curriculum. Foster a creative and practical learning environment in the kitchen, encouraging students to explore diverse culinary techniques and cuisines. Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the school's vision and the latest advancements in food education. Ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Build positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting teamwork and fostering a love of learning in the kitchen. Play an active role in the department, including contributing to curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental meetings. Participate in whole-school events and initiatives, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Food Technology Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and developing their culinary skills. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for food, cooking, and promoting healthy eating habits. Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
