About the Role A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a passionate Spanish Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from January 2026. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for A-Level delivery for suitably experienced candidates. Key Details Position: Teacher of Spanish Contract: Full-time, permanent Start Date: January 2026 Key Stages: 3 – 4 (A-Level available for the right candidate) Suitable for: Experienced teachers or ECTs The Department and Facilities The Modern Foreign Languages department is a lively and collaborative team with a shared passion for language learning and cultural exploration. The curriculum is engaging, inclusive and focused on communication — helping students gain fluency, broaden horizons and appreciate global diversity. You’ll benefit from: Specialist MFL classrooms equipped with interactive displays and digital learning tools Access to authentic resources and online language platforms Regular cultural activities, including language days, film screenings and exchange partnerships Collaborative curriculum planning with experienced colleagues across the department Opportunities to lead enrichment clubs such as Spanish Conversation Club or Film Club What You’ll Be Doing You will plan and deliver creative lessons that develop students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, while fostering enthusiasm for Spanish language and culture. You’ll promote curiosity, confidence and resilience through a balance of structured grammar work and interactive communication tasks. Additional responsibilities include: Supporting examination preparation and tracking student progress Contributing to the continued development of the MFL curriculum Encouraging participation in extra-curricular and cultural activities Playing an active role in the wider school community and pastoral life About You You’ll bring: QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification Strong subject knowledge and clear communication skills in Spanish A commitment to helping students develop global awareness and intercultural understanding A creative, engaging approach to teaching languages A collaborative and reflective attitude to professional practice About the School This 11–18 secondary school is a cornerstone of its local community and prides itself on inclusivity, aspiration and respect.
