Job description
A well-established and high-performing secondary school in Cambridge is seeking to appoint a dedicated and creative Teacher of Art for an immediate start on a full-time, long-term basis , with the opportunity for a permanent appointment for the right candidate. The Art department is well resourced with multiple specialist rooms, a broad curriculum across Fine Art and Mixed Media, and strong uptake at GCSE. The department works closely with Design Technology and Photography to deliver a rich creative offer. The Role You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 , planning engaging schemes of work, and supporting students of mixed abilities to achieve strong outcomes. You will contribute to KS4 coursework moderation and exam preparation and will be encouraged to take part in enrichment activities, exhibitions, and whole-school events. You will work within a collaborative department with strong technician support and shared resources. The Ideal Candidate The school is seeking a teacher who: Holds QTS and a relevant Art or Design qualification Has experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4 Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisation Is confident delivering practical and theory-based Art lessons Has a passion for creativity and student engagement Is reliable, reflective, and team-orientated Salary & Benefits Paid to MPS/UPS Full-time, long-term stability Strong departmental and senior leadership support Well-resourced classrooms and technician assistance Opportunity for permanent appointment This is a fantastic opportunity for an Art teacher seeking a stable and well-supported post in Cambridge.
