Job description
Are you a passionate Health and Social Care Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Health and Social Care Teacher to join a thriving school in Derby starting in April 2025 . This full-time, temporary position will involve teaching KS4 and KS5 students in a supportive and motivating environment. The Health and Social Care department is dedicated to providing engaging, real-world education that inspires students to pursue careers in the health and social care sector. Key Details: Position: Health and Social Care Teacher Teaching Levels: KS4 and KS5 (GCSE and A-Level) Start Date: April 2025 Contract: Full-time, Temporary Location: Derby Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience Responsibilities: Teach Health and Social Care to KS4 and KS5 students Plan and deliver engaging lessons that make the subject accessible and exciting for students Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback to enhance their learning Support students in developing their knowledge of health, well-being, and care practices Collaborate with colleagues to improve the Health and Social Care curriculum and deliver high-quality teaching What We’re Looking For: A Degree in Health and Social Care , Nursing , Social Work , or a related subject QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification Experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5 Enthusiasm for the subject and a genuine desire to support students in achieving their best Why Join Us?
